Job Responsibilities
· AFrontend Engineer builds the frontend of full scale applicationsrelated to either human or animal health. In those initiatives, the employeeworks collaboratively and iteratively through design and development to deliverfully functioning, web-based and mobile applications that meet business goals.A Senior Frontend Engineer works closely together with Data Scientists andBackend Engineers, but also with UX Designers on the Scrum team.
· Ownsthe entire frontend of a product including its architecture, delivery pipelineand runtime stability. Major contributions to open source.
· -Designand develop the business logic and frontend systems of the product, owning theentire architecture. Work closely with Backend Engineers to design and developfunctional, performing and complete user interfaces. Work closely with DataScientists and UX Designers on the team to provide the best product.
· -Decipherexisting software systems and be able to connect application to required datasources. Write both unit and integration tests, and develop automation toolsfor daily tasks.
· Develophigh quality, well documented, and efficient code.
· Createchapter knowledge, e.g about new technologies. Mentor less experiencedcolleagues.
· Bea good liaison and able to communicate effectively.
· Ableto develop a framework design and develop testing strategy/write testingframework.
· Ableto coach, negotiate and mediate complex problems in the team. Mentor lessexperienced colleagues.
Qualifications
· Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science or comparable experience
· First-handexperience of the intense collaboration in an agile software development team
· Englishworking proficiency and communication skills (verbal and written)
Technical Expertise:
· Experton frontend technologies (5+ years).
· Thoughtleader within the context - extensive visibility and experience in the fieldbeyond frameworks - and en par with the latest developments (e.g. Google glass)
· Musthave knowledge to configure/deploy different environments and stages ofdevelopment.
Agile Experience:
Ownsthe architecture in the Scrum team
Soft skills:
· Ableto guide, coach, negotiate and mediate complex problems among teams.
· Ableto communicate the vision
· Ableto get to the point according to the audience (ability to phrase complexthings)
